"I attended a wake at this venue. I wasn't the payee so have no idea of the competitiveness of the costs involved. That said, it's a beautiful, stylish venue. The catering and service were elegant and understated. The food served was finger-buffet and seemed to be to everyone's taste. All in all, a melancholy occasion was managed with exemplary dignity, efficiency and consideration by the venue managers and serving staff. I was most impressed."
"Wow. A hidden gem of the North East. Having kept the traditional aspects of the school, Acklam Hall balances a modern and classical design. Food was delicious, staff very helpful and friendly. Reasonably well priced and overall, a great place to visit."
